Call for Proposals

TESOL Kuwait invites professionals from all English language teaching (ELT) backgrounds and related fields to submit proposals for the TESOL Kuwait 2018 Conference. Sections of the Online Form is as follows:

Evaluation of Proposals

  • All abstracts will be blind reviewed using a Proposal Evaluation Rubric.  Relevance to the required themes, originality and applicability are key considerations in the evaluation of all submissions. The committee reserves the right to decline any submission without assigning reasons.  
  • All candidates will receive a letter confirming the outcome of their proposal.  Remember to add conferenceproposals@tesolkuwait.org to your email address book and your spam whitelist in order to ensure that you receive messages from the reviewing committee.
  • Once you have submitted your proposal, you will receive an email message confirming receipt of submission.


Factors Affecting Conference Proposal Selection

Conference submissions must:

  • adhere to the guidelines specified in this proposal submission form.
  • Mailed, emailed, or faxed proposals will not be accepted or acknowledged.
  • include a valid email address.  
  • be blind reviewed by TESOL Proposal Committee members, trained reviewers on the content areas designated on the proposal submissions.


Tips for a Successful Proposal

DO NOT

DO

- Include names of presenters, institutions, or publications/published works in your title, abstract, or description.

- Submit your proposal by the deadline. (Thursday, 1 June 2018, 5:00pm Kuwait time).

- Submit a late or incomplete proposal.

- Submit the proposal electronically via the Online Form Submission.

- Promote commercial interests.

- Make sure your proposal is complete and follows the proposal guidelines.

- Include a valid email address.

- Add conferenceproposals@tesolkuwait.org to your email address book and your spam whitelist
